a-Hong Kong-a-go-go
A Hong Kong, I go go. Saturday, September 18, 2004. Day 6: Back to the States. I had a good breakfast, just like pretty much everyday. Now I'm at the airport, there is something to be said that I can hook up wirelessly while waiting for my plane, and talk to my love on IM with video chat from seven-thousand miles away. Posted by Melkir @ 9:00 AM. Friday, September 17, 2004. Day 5: Look Kids! To Kowloon, the city was beautiful in the sunlight and the water was a much better color. However, this had a ...

Turning Japanese
Maybe, I think so. Monday, November 10, 2003. Sucks To Be Me. But alas, it was not meant to be. I was informed that while my skills and experiences are impressive that I just wasn't going to work out in the position. I suspect that it was the second-to-last interview that I had, as it was the only one that didn't go very well. However, I recognize that I didn't give 110%, more like 70%. My apprehension about the endeavor ultimately doomed it. Posted by Melkir @ 9:22 AM. Friday, November 07, 2003. I’m sit...
Life Examined
My life, in general, specific, and overwhelmingly boring abstract and detail. Peruse at your own risk, over indulgence in pity and obsessions within. Sunday, August 13, 2006. I do want to make it perfectly clear that Hong Kong is incredible. Some 601 days ago I started my first entry of this blog, at the end I included this quote:. Never forget that life can only be nobly inspired and rightly lived if you take it bravely and gallantly, as a splendid adventure in which you are setting out into an unknown ...

Turning Japanese.. Again
Turning Japanese. Again. If only I thought so. Friday, February 06, 2004. Day 5: Bye Bye. Finally, after remerging at 9am we ate some breakfast and went for a walk around the Shinjuku areas which we were staying. Fascinatingly enough stores seemed to open up at 10am, which is odd as we're all used to things being open before we're awake. With detachable face masks, some ' Bad News Bears. And the famous Studio Alta. We arrived at the airport about a half-an-hour sooner than we though. Which gave us am...

I’m trying to figure out what the point of this blog is now that I’ve got like Facebook, and Twitter, and an iPhone and a billion other means of communication. Maybe if I need to rant, or tell stories about a trip. Hrm. I suppose that’s probably it. So, nothing to say. By Melkir on July 13, 2009. One Response to “Uhm.”. Turning Japanese: The Background
http://turningjapanese.halfpastzen.com/2003/10/background.html
Maybe, I think so. Thursday, October 23, 2003. I felt perhaps I should fill in the background about why, as a 'semi-successful business person' that I am without a high-school diploma. It's not a long story, so don't cringe. Tick Tick Tick* Two weeks until school. I want to work at Microsoft". I get an interview at MS. It's so where I want to be, I interview and I get an offer. I haven't mentioned school yet. I ask if there is a flexible schedule, nope. Nada, zip, zilch. You wish. I'll take the job!

My life, in general, specific, and overwhelmingly boring abstract and detail. Peruse at your own risk, over indulgence in pity and obsessions within. Saturday, August 12, 2006. Fiery the angels rose. I've decided to mostly stay in, since the pressure of picking the last perfect thing to do is just too much, I think it's time to take a nap. I've just been watching old movies on my portable harddrive and listening to music. At least the bed is comfortable. Posted by Melkir @ 2:41 PM. Links to this post:.

A Hong Kong, I go go. Monday, September 13, 2004. Day 1: The Flight - Hong Kong. Special Authority Region) or Hong Kong. I boarded the train after three short minutes. And arrived just before passport control. I walked through an area where all passengers were being screened for body heat. Quite interesting, I’m apparently cool enough to get into the country without being quarantined. Posted by Melkir @ 6:00 PM. Hong Kong's Entertainment, Nightlife and Clubbing Guide. A Hong Kong, I go go. Tuesday, September 14, 2004. Day 2: My Trip to Cyberport. Anyhow, I took some. Of some of the surrounding buildings. And one from my window. So, I took a taxi out to Cyberport (which was about $92.5HKD), an interesting journey through the sprawl that is Hong Kong. To say the traffic system is confusing would be a drastic and criminal understatement. And a fountain,. The taxi ride back was shorter, and cost less, like. 30 bucks less. Hrmp. August 20, 2013. So, Penn is finally. I didn't take my camera to the beach so I don't have any photos of psycho Penn. Post-beach, though, we decided to stay at the house. We hung out in the yard for awhile and then I decided to setup a course for Penn. She hasn't seen agility equipment in 11 days so I wasn't expecting much in terms of focus& taking direction. Well, my little girl sure did surprise me! Doesn't she look like an old pro in this video? How did you guys spend your Monday? August 10, 2013.

Does This Band Make Me Look Fat? Peter Holsapple (The dB's, Continental Drifters) finally put out another record in Feb. 2017. Stay tuned and see what happens! Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Love Is For Lovers. Don't know if it's because I'm too 'inside' "Love Is For Lovers," but I never really pegged it as a love song, per se. It always seemed sort of standoffish and judgmental, my usual M.O. It's one of my favorite songs, and it's always big fun to play. Happy Valentine's Day, friends and lovers. Those ar...
