August 20, 2013. So, Penn is finally. I didn't take my camera to the beach so I don't have any photos of psycho Penn. Post-beach, though, we decided to stay at the house. We hung out in the yard for awhile and then I decided to setup a course for Penn. She hasn't seen agility equipment in 11 days so I wasn't expecting much in terms of focus& taking direction. Well, my little girl sure did surprise me! Doesn't she look like an old pro in this video? How did you guys spend your Monday? August 10, 2013.

August 11, 2013. Me: They discovered a pink planet! Garret: Cool. Where's that? Me: it's a planet. Garret: Oh, I thought you meant a country. I laughed a lot .probably too much. How cool is it that there's a pink planet, though? I spent my Sunday cleaning everything& now where we live sparkles. I also finished off the last episode up of the series Orange is the New Black. Happy Sunday, everyone! How do you plan on spending the last day of the weekend? Orange is the new black.

August 10, 2013. I was so busy the month of July. We had a trial at the end of the month that was a big one so we spent a LOT of time training. A lot. Did it all pay off? There were 60 dogs there& we ended up taking third overall in our division. My little brown Border Collie made me so, so proud. Look at that smiley face& all those red ribbons! I'm so looking forward to our next season with two dogs. That's what I thought. Oh well, here's to next year! Not a white dress, feeding people I don't even know...

July 08, 2013. Notice any changes around the old blog? I got bored of my old layout .considering I've had it for a little over 2yrs, it was to be expected! My new one isn't nearly as nice but it fits the fact that Cape Breton is having a hot, sunny summer so I'm keeping it! Once winter gets here, I'll probably loose my positive perspective and change it to something less happy ;). Aside from playing with the puppies, I have been SERIOUSLY. One of her favorite activities .she is a crazy dog.

This week my work celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week (yes, a week later than everyone else). I couldn’t resist taking my camera (with my macro lens, of course) and snapping a few shots. especially since flowers are my favorite thing to shoot. While I appreciated everything I received, I have to admit that what I loved best were the hugs. The big pile everyone in/knock the teacher over 15 students deep hugs. The “you’re the best teacher ever! But pretty pink flowers are definitely always welcome. 🙂.

First of all, I finally got my official time from my first 5K the other day: I came in 82nd place, out of 214 runners, in 34 minutes, 29 seconds. To which I say, meh. I mean, great that I made my goal time (I wanted under 35 minutes) but I’ve run 3.11 miles in 34 minutes flat before. I should’ve run a bit faster. They sent me this pic, which is the only non-blurry pic of me running. Not the most flattering tho. I think it might be time for a new sports bra? June 4th, which is only 3 weeks away. Whoa.
