Geography 169 - Zanzibar. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. To get a better image of the island (one with less cloud cover), Glovis through the United States Geological Survey (USGS)[ii] was used. Once on the Glovis website, the Zanzibar island was located. Once located, the clearest image was selected and downloaded. The coral rag grassland, bush, and forest covers about 50% of the island, which is located mainly in the center and eastern part of the island.

Vi semestrade på Zanzibar hösten 2005. Efter en dryg veckas Safari i Selous flög vi till Zanzibar. Några lata dagar i Matemwe på öns nordost kust sedan vidare till den lilla ön Chumbe för att njuta av egna kritvita stränder och snorkling.
