The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. November 30, 2011. Sorry for the blog delay – our travelling laptop finally died in Indonesia and since returning home we’ve been lost in a fog of 40-hour travel, jet lag, tearful reunions and then car-buying. So, while it’s exciting to be home and we’re so focused on looking forward, we’d be remiss to not recount a last bit of Indonesian awesomeness. Anna, being excited in our bedroom. This was the outdoor kitchen and dining room. Thank...

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. November 21, 2011. Weird Advertisements, Take 2. Yes, the Monsoon Poon is a real restaurant in Auckland. Down the street from the Monsoon Poon is this coffee shop with a great sign. Still in New Zealand. This sign almost made Jerry turn back. This souvenir shop implored us to buy something to provide work for China's children, presumably in sweatshops. Ahhhh, I've been eaten by an apple! Another thing they sell at Japanese 7-11. You are ...

One Photo a Day
One Photo a Day. Ducks in a Row. Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Oct 5 - Canvases, and Acrylics, and Elephants - Oh My! Better. It's a lesson learned pretty early on in motherhood: Don't set your mind on having anything. We decided on an elephant for the shape. After Griffin had had his way with the paints, I filled in some of the blank spaces. Once it had dried, it was time to peel off the elephant. Clearly, Mr. Elephant needed a bit of.help. He was looking slightly amorphous. Tuesday, October 4, 2011.

The Thompson Family
Friday, July 30, 2010. A long overdue update. Reece is our little man. He might be small, but he is super fast and packs a punch(not literally). Reece is a fan of anything truck. This includes construction equipment, tractors, airplanes, fire trucks, and trains. He loves playing with his Geotrax set and riding his tricycle. He just turned 3 years old and is quite the talker and has a super funny sense of humor. If you would like to see more on our running and how we've been doing check out the link.
