Beth achieved beyond expectations and came in second in her 100m heat (then 5th in the final), third in long jump, and participated in a team relay, for which they placed third. Now, she's eight! Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Did we mention our quick Gold Coast August getaway? In August, we unexpectedly had the chance to enjoy ourselves at the Gold Coast for a night. Andy was put up at The Marriott for a few nights with work, and once he discovered his room contained 2 double beds, we quickly devised a scheme so that the rest of us could join him for free and have ourselves a mini holiday! Apart from Daddy, who was technically there for his work conference and therefore couldn't join in the fun!

Sunday, January 05, 2014. A most unusual Christmas. I don't think we'll soon forget our Christmas Day in New York 2013. It was by far the coldest, yet clearest, day of our stay there, with a top temperature of about -2 degrees. Brrr. Back on the bus, we went through Harlem and stopped off at a 'soul food' restaurant for lunch. This turned out to be one of the top meals of our trip - good, clean whole food. Yummm. Saturday, December 28, 2013. New York. Days flying by. Entering the second week of our New York adventure, the days began to fly by as we continued to tick off our list of things we wanted to see and do. After a long day, both parties met up at MoMa (the Museum of Modern Art) at 4pm, where entry is free from 4pm to 6pm on Fridays. Monday, October 07, 2013. It' been a whole year since we last camped, and, boy, have we missed it! It was with much excitement that we prepared for a few days at Murphy's Creek (close to Toowoomba) with our camping buddies and wonderful friends, the Crosses, as well as a small group of other families from church.
