Tamaki Intermediate Year 7 - Pikelets. 1 household tbsp golden syrup. 1c self rasing flour. Enough butter to rub. Dip an ordinary tablespoon in hot water and measure the golden syrup with it. Put in the bowl with butter and warm to soften both. Mix in sugar, milk and egg. Add flour then mix with a beater until just smooth.
