Aimee McDurmon: Week 11
http://aimeemcdurmon.blogspot.com/2011/04/week-11.html
Wednesday, April 13, 2011. In conclusion, I had never really thought about using video games to teach in a classroom, but it seems like a wonderful idea. Students can engage in all kinds of stimulating activity that they would actually have interest in, which is so important now. Jonassen, D., Howland, J., Marra, R., and Crismond, D. (2008). Aimee McDurmon: January 2011

Friday, January 28, 2011. What do you think about using blogs? I had never used a blog or knew much about them until taking this class. I had heard of them and knew what they were, but never actually blogged. I think it sounds like a convenient way to relay information quickly to others and also a good chance to network with people with similar interests. What and how do you think blogs would be useful for education? Jonassen, D., Howland, J., Marra, R., and Crismond, D.(2008). Monday, January 24, 2011.

Saturday, January 29, 2011. Technology changes everyday and as teachers we have to be able to change and adapt with it to benefit our students as well as ourselves. Technology now plays a large role in their life and effects how they learn. Now it is in our hands to use the technology to help our students. Jonassen, David H., and David H. Jonassen. Saturday, January 29, 2011. For people who think using blogs is a waste of time I think its become a must in education because of the technology we are heading into we might not have mandatory classroom meetings in the future so learning blogs now will help you teach others to use them. Chapter six teaches you the many way we use technology we used in the classroom. In the book the students knew how to create a blog, use them and has become very important in the classroom. Blog in Plain English.

Friday, April 15, 2011. The voice thread site seems like it could be a great tool for students. I know some subjects it might be hard to use in some classroom settings but with a little work I can see the benefits for the students. Since I am going to teach physical education I can't see me using this in my lessons. REFERENCE: http:/ voicethread.com/. April 15, 2011 at 9:11 PM. April 15, 2011 at 9:40 PM. Saturday, March 5, 2011. I would use a more hands on writing activity because I'm a kenisiology major and getting the students involved in the assignment helps them learn the how to of the assignment. When I was in school I've been called a hands on learner, I think its easier to learn if you actually go through what the teach is talking about. So you can get it down pack. Following the guidelines from the textbook should be something easy to do and will allow for a very affective presentation. Ch 8 and 9.

Thursday, February 3, 2011. According to the website:. I felt that this tool can be used in a way that would speed most of the curriculum time; to allow more opportunity to respond to feedback and classroom discussion. The discussions would be about what they actually learned in the website. I would suggest that the discussion be separate from the computer, so that the student can now visualize how they can attach what they have learned to a real-life scenario given by the teacher. Technology is surpassi...
