Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Resiliance - Finally Spring. My seedlings are doing alright. The bell peppers are beautiful! But I had put the tomatoes and brassicas outside last week to get a little dappled sunlight but it was too much for them. They are a little ragged but I hope they will survive. What is your favorite quick meal? Homemade or store bought? Wednesday, March 9, 2011. A Matter of Time. And to think I feel guilty that I take a few minutes here and there to take care of myself. How do I do it?

Wednesday, May 4, 2011. What a photo is worth. Today isn't a day that I can put into words. Today I will walk you through the garden and show you a glimpse of the beauty just outside my door. When all seems dark, growing things can be a light in the gloom for me. Painted Daisy - a source of natural pesticide. Spinach in the garden. Lettuce and Radishes from our dinner on Sunday. Fields of Sage: Morning Reflections
http://fieldsofsage.blogspot.com/2013/01/morning-reflections.html
Sunday, January 27, 2013. A silk dress embroidered with Columbines, my flower. I take the time to knit, and to sew. Which feels more like a vacation. But the reality is that even in my spare time I am making something useful to add to my home or wardrobe. Even in my most relaxed times I am really working. Pickled Radish and Onion. And then Tristan is done and Lilly gets untied. And I go back inside to warm up and start my chores for the day. My beloved horses, Tristan (black) and Lilly (Chestnut). View m...

Sunday, December 16, 2012. I know I have been absent. I know I left everyone hanging. And I apologize greatly for it. I got the help I needed to face my past and take hold of my present. And now I am healing. Life is looking Joyful again. And the mask is off. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). All flowers want for nothing but soft dark earth, kisses of sunlight, droplets of water, and a place to bloom and grow. This is how a flower plucks up its own roots and grows where it chooses to be planted. Land of the Sky.

Friday, March 15, 2013. Signs that Spring is almost here. This week my washing machine broke. The same week my husband was out of town for a week and unable to repair or haul a replacement into my laundry room. I faced the dreaded trip to the local laundromat to sit for hours staring at machines and having a rather unproductive day. Unproductive days and I don't really get along too well. The hens getting a treat of chopped canned cucumbers that were a little too old for our use. I learned many things de...

Fields of Sage: November 2011

Tuesday, November 29, 2011. It's been a long summer and fall, obviously. I've been too busy to post, and had to put it on my to do list to remind myself that I have dozens of photos and ideas of things to write about. Perhaps I should put it as a regular reminder on my calendar? Evan playing in a huge pile of feed corn at a local corn maze! I've actually been looking forward to the Winter (! Since that means a nice break from travels and a little bit of time to slow down and gather myself. We have eaten ...

Friday, June 10, 2011. Clothes on the line, one of my favorite things. Its been hot. And I mean like 95 degree in the middle of the day and it being 85 degrees in the house hot. We just got some relief in the form of daily rainclouds rolling in around 2pm. But we have gotten little rain from them. Things are dry. And did I mention hot? A nice stand of corn. It's about 3 feet high at this point. The Broccoli crowns get larger even from dawn till I check the plants at dusk! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
