Avalon Peninsula, Newfoundland. About the NF Trip. Captiva Island, FL. Moosehead Lake, ME. We went to Newfoundland in September of 1999, on a ferry from North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Port Aux Basque, Newfoundland. Took the bus to Stephenville, and picked up a car for the long (but beautifully scenic) trip across Newfoundland to Twillingate. We traveled from Twillingate down the eastern coastline, with various stops, ending in St. John's for several days. Northeast of Deer Lake. South of Hare Bay.

We stayed in South Kensington, explored Westminster, the Buckingham Palace area, and took a lovely boat trip down the Thames. The weather was wonderful - in the 60's, and we even got a little sunburned on the boat trip! Trafalgar Square, Parliament, Royal Albert Hall. Along the Thames to Greenwich. Buckingham Palace, Kensington Park and Palace, St. James Park.
