The weather was great for our time in Yellowstone, and we were there on the last weekend of operation for most of the facilities. The crowds were down and traffic was light. Cheers to off-season traveling! More photos were snapped. The next day we finally turned east and made it all the way back to Ohio in 2 days, stopping to say hi to my cousin Derrick in Chicago.

Monday, August 16, 2010. Last weekend I biked the length of the Denali Park Road with my friend Andrew in a single day. The weather was threatening, but was mostly kind and even let a sun shine through for a while. 85 miles of gravel, 4 mountain passes, 9300 ft of elevation gain, and 8.5 hours en route. Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Jared is Back in Alaska! I made it back! My cross-country drive was great, and it made me think I could actually make it as a professional trucker. Thanks to all my friends who put me up and entertained me. It was nice to have places to stop and relax so as not to go insane from all the driving. And thanks to my new truck for making the whole 5500 miles without any problems. Here are some pictures I took while travelling. Snowshoeing at Grand Tetons NP. Bridge on the ALCAN.

Sorry for the big delay, but my posts tend to be motivated by wanting to share photos, and I just didn't get any good ones for a while. It's been pretty busy lately with tasks associated with packing up for the season. Tuesday, July 25, 2006. Cabin Boy and Big Rocks. The weather has been beautiful here for the last week or so. Before that, we had about 3 weeks of rain. Saturday was a volleyball tourny and cookout down in the gorge (tourist area). We made it to the semi's and lost, but everyone was a winner when it came to the free food! Sunday I hiked up to the Iradics, which are these two huge rocks that sit up on the tundra for no good reason. They look allot smaller from down at the road. Hope everyone is doing well.
