I run because I won't give up my humba. Thursday, November 26, 2009. RUNNR in Cebu (and a blast from the past! This was my first road race ever. As you can see in the photo, runners then were content to be running in cotton garments (in my case, the regulation cotton PE shirt and shorts from STC) and sneakers (regulation Spartan brand which was the required footwear for PE class). The lady just behind me is wearing denim shorts and canvass slip-ons! It was a miracle we didn't get injured as much then.

Last Sunday, there were three runs happening simultaneously, but runners whether veterans or newbies, knew where they had to be. The tribute run for the late Melinda Ponce gathered a total of 1,436 registered runners after only five days of blitzkrieg organizing. There were several tribute runs for Melinda last Sunday.
