I was, once. | Delicious Phrases
https://deliciousphrases.wordpress.com/2010/06/29/i-was-once
Just another WordPress.com weblog. I was, once. June 29, 2010. 8212; deliciousphrases @ 5:14 am. There was a time when I was…. Worthy of more than just your scorn. Valued more than your grandmother’s faded linens. Someone who had something to say. Now I sit and wonder what it all means. Why the earth seems to revolve without care for me? What does a man measure his worth by? A faded photograph of you, collecting dust, shoved in a drawer. Under a silk bandana. Yours, I think. I was, once.

Saturday, June 27, 2009. So we had a bit of a road trip today- went down to Peterborough for a couple of hours. (all the locals are thinking "a 3 hour drive each way for a 2.5 hour visit? Our social worker from South Africa was up for a visit and we very much wanted the chance to see her. Besides, I figure that she had to come way farther than we did, and it was a lovely day for a drive. Great to see her again. Wednesday, June 24, 2009. Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Not a lot to do. If only I could be sure tha...

Serendipity: April 2010
http://jlkelly.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 29, 2010. Not much to say. Except we leave for Paris in 6 days. Links to this post. Saturday, April 24, 2010. You know when you're happy? And God is just pouring out blessing after blessing? And then after awhile you get the bad stuff too, but you don't really notice because you're just so grateful for the blessings that your throat constricts and your eyes well up and all you can do is look heavenward and praise God for His awesomeness and beg for more blessings? It's been like that.

Serendipity: May 2010
http://jlkelly.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 26, 2010. I had planted all my tomatoes, petunias, delphiniums, lupins, portulaca, asters etc before Paris. After Paris, they all died, with the exception of the lupins and two tomatoes. Naturally I had to go buy more. And I should probably do some writing. Links to this post. Wednesday, May 19, 2010. The Daring Kitchen Challenge. So recently I stumbled across a neat website, called The Daring Kitchen. And for some reason, the link thing isn't working. Here's the website. http:...The chall...

Serendipity: October 2009

Wednesday, October 14, 2009. I function better when I live in my cocoon. My entire life I've spent living within my cocoon. Everything would happen outside of it, and I would just pay attention to the inside. Not in a selfish, mean manner, don't get me wrong. I just could never handle the truth. And tonight I'm 'seeing' a lot of the truth. And the truth is awful. And this is why I stay in my bubble. Because if I don't, I am racked with constant grief and my heart breaking. I am so ignorant. Life is.I...

History Fair | Sentient
https://blog.heathertelford.com/2009/04/03/history-fair
Last Friday my children, along with six others participated in a History Fair. This is the third time we have been involved in one and every time I am impressed with the learning that happens as a result of all the research each child does. Participants pick their own Canadian History topic and can present it in whatever way they think appropriate. There was a beautiful diorama of a Mi’kmaq wigwam and surrounding hunting ground and an informative project about an orphan who came to Canada as a R...

Saturday, June 12, 2010. A trip to North Carolina. I find it bizarre that I never blogged about our trip to Paris. Because I figured I wouldn't stop talking about it. But I didn't. But that's for another time. And as I write this? Not much else to say. I burnt my bum? We're on our way to Niagara Falls to the Great Wolf Lodge for a few days and to see our lovely wine friend Andrew who owns a lovely winery. Home by Wednesday I think. Saturday, December 22, 2007. Well, my boys are sitting at the school desk anxiously awaiting my company to draw Christmas trees. I guess the rest of the housework can wait. And doing the church service for tomorrow. And my reading up on adoption. And. oh, nevermind. Wednesday, December 19, 2007. But the wheels are rolling anyway. So that`s the latest in my life. Oh, and Christmas baking and Christmas wrapping and Christmas shopping and trying to fit some school in this week. (Not being entirely s...The o...
