After 2 cappuccinos and an espresso at breakfast we hopped on a 10am boat to Salina that passes the other side of Lipari with a small stop in Vulcano. After yesterday's experience we thought it a good idea to bring some food so we got these incredible sandwiches from a shop near the marina. An earthquake in the late 1600s destroyed the city and then a new Baroque town was built called Ragusa Superiore, the upper town. Our apartment was in the older part, Ragusa Ibla. We had another lovely breakfast with a view this morning before revisiting the Vucciria market then heading to the airport to pick up the rental car. Driving in Palermo is not recommended for visitors so if you are going to rent a car, do it from the airport so you can get straight on the autostrada.
