Journey to the Past: April 2012
http://olivia.losari.org/2012_04_01_archive.html
Journey to the Past. A collection of my rambling thoughts that just need to be put down somewhere. Thursday, April 26, 2012. Raising a kid is an act of juggling between what you're told, what you believe to be true, and making your parents happy. Links to this post. Saturday, April 14, 2012. In Indonesia, this is what happens when you go to a Korean BBQ place. Hi, I'd like a seat in the non-smoking area, please. Sorry, we have no non-smoking area. But don't worry, it's all air-conditioned. When I was in ...

Journey to the Past. A collection of my rambling thoughts that just need to be put down somewhere. Wednesday, September 30, 2009. First Knitting Project: Knitted Gridded Towel. I admit it. I am one of those short-attention-span people. I like doing lots of things and I enjoy variety. With the help of online videos and my dear friend, Vincy, I finally managed to finish my first knitting project, ever! It's a hand towel. Chris chose the colors, and I found the pattern online. Yeay to open source projects!

Journey to the Past: Smoke vs Smoke
http://olivia.losari.org/2012/04/smoke-vs-smoke.html
Journey to the Past. A collection of my rambling thoughts that just need to be put down somewhere. Saturday, April 14, 2012. In Indonesia, this is what happens when you go to a Korean BBQ place. Hi, I'd like a seat in the non-smoking area, please. Sorry, we have no non-smoking area. But don't worry, it's all air-conditioned. You don't have the non-smoking area? Well, the BBQ cooking generates quite a smoke already. So it won't look worse with additional smoke from the cigarettes. Thought of the Day.

Growing With Purpose: Funny little thing called FAITH
http://growingwithpurpose.blogspot.com/2009/12/funny-little-thing-called-faith.html
A quick look at the mirror during our busy lives. Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Funny little thing called FAITH. One of the big topic for the last couple days of devotion seems to spin around this little and powerful thing called faith. What is faith anyway? Religious people sees it as the key of their belief. Rationalist calls it (quoted from my favorite TV series, "Bones") "an irrational belief in something that is logically impossible". Marxism argues it to be "the opiate of the people". Funny little t...

Growing With Purpose: Look at Things Above?
http://growingwithpurpose.blogspot.com/2009/12/look-at-things-above.html
A quick look at the mirror during our busy lives. Thursday, December 10, 2009. Look at Things Above? I have been watching the TED for last couple of days and learned so much about new technology. I'm quite impressed that they make the presentation available for everyone to see. One of the presentation talks about perception. In one of the devotion, Walker quotes Colossians 3:2 as the Bible verse which says, "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things". I do believe that this is the key to ...

Growing With Purpose: November 2010
http://growingwithpurpose.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
A quick look at the mirror during our busy lives. Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Came across this lovely story - used it in one of my papers long time ago. An almost forgotten story - hopefully a never forgotten lesson. Sadly, the author is unknown. Anybody out there remembering writing this? Once upon a time the animals had a school. They had four subjects: running, climbing, flying, and swimming-and all animals took all subjects. This kept him from soaring, which he loved. But schoolwork comes first.

Growing With Purpose: Reflection 3: Enabled by God
http://growingwithpurpose.blogspot.com/2009/11/reflection-3-enabled-by-god.html
A quick look at the mirror during our busy lives. Thursday, November 19, 2009. Reflection 3: Enabled by God. Today devotion is about how as Christians, when we walk in His way, are empowered to do great things. It sounds simple. incredibly simple. yet I have failed to display this in my life many many times. I think it's not really because I feel inadequate or uncertain about what I do, but it's more about being comfortable in doing nothing. This reminds me of a writing by Nelson Mandela:. For me, Moses ...

Growing With Purpose: December 2009
http://growingwithpurpose.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
A quick look at the mirror during our busy lives. Sunday, December 13, 2009. Certain in God's Faithfulness? I like to watch TV. I admit, sometimes I watch too much TV. And because I tend to forget the story after a while, it's become a habit of mine to re-watch my favorite shows from time to time. Looking at all those TV shows, I came to realize that I am a kind of person who likes to watch a strong and solid character. Series like Bones. Other more challenging series like Life,. Well, today devotion foc...
