Born and raised in Mexico, Yessica is a cinematographer who has shot dozens of projects—both fiction and documentary—some of which have been screened in film festivals around the world. Her first short film, Quiet Space. Will be screened at the 2014 Festival de Cannes. She got her BFA in Film from the Departamento de Imagen y Sonido, at the Universidad de Guadalajara, and her MFA with a concentration in Cinematography from the City College of New York.
