樋口所長には 育児休暇を取るなんてだめだろうなぁ と半ばあきらめた状態で相談させていただいたのですが、予想に反して どうぞ、どうぞ といった軽いトーンで返事をされたため、逆に拍子抜けしてしまったというのが実際のところです。 さて、 育児休暇 といった場合、 休暇 という二文字だけが強調され、 さぞかし自由な時間があるだろう と誤解される方が少なくありません。 私の場合、育児休暇中は、食事の準備 娘のお風呂 長女の面倒は私が、これら以外の家事と次女の面倒は妻が担当し、本の読み聞かせ 部屋の掃除は２人でやることにしていました(この役割分担は現在も続いています)。 育児ノイローゼ 、 育児放棄 、 放置っ子 といった問題が注目されている現在、育児休暇は、こういった問題を見つめ、子供を含めて家族全体との 距離 を縮めるうえで大変有意義だったと感じています。 一方、育児休暇をとったおかげで、子供が 初めて ができた瞬間 を見たときの感動を体感することができましたし、仕事に復帰してからは、帰宅するたびに おとう!
