Sunday, May 1, 2011. Sterling graduated in economics and a minor in math. Woohoo! Way to go Sterling! My brother Chris graduated too, in biology. My friend Maranda and her husband Andy both graduated with their Masters. Amazing! Sterling decided he could never have long hair after he had to deal with the tassle for graduation, what a relief. Lastly, one random picture of us making marshmallow eggs, which we dipped in chocolate and rolled in toasted coconut. Possibly my favorite treat ever!

Tuesday, July 5, 2011. Home on the Range. My mom got the boys some really cute cowboy outfits for their birthdays. They were always very excited to go check on the cows! Of course we all got used to putting on lots of bug spray. Weston was very sure to get a good coat after he got a thousand chigger bites during the first couple days. The herd was very excited about the prospect of cow cakes. Weston and Rhett were so cute in their cowboy hats. And so was my dad! My mom and sister were happy just watching.

Thursday, August 12, 2010. To Missouri and Back. Albert Pujols up to bat, he was the only player I had really heard of. He did hit a home run. Eventually we had to head home, it came way too soon. I was so sad to not get to play with Weston and Rhett (my nephews) all day. Our next stop was Badlands National Park. It was pretty neat to see. There was a motorcycle rally around the area (Sturgis and Rapid City) at the time, so there were tons of bikers at all the National Parks and on the highways. This was...

Thursday, March 31, 2011. What I do on my days off. Here are some of my latest craft projects that I've been working on. I made this headboard when we were in Missouri a few weeks ago. Sterling and I cut boards and then covered them with foam, batting, and lastly an old quilt of my grandma's. Here it is above our bed with some throw pillows I made out of an old tablecloth of my grandma's. They looked really good on the cake stand Caitlin and Reece got me for my birthday, thanks guys! Amy asked me to make her wedding cake. what a brave soul. she got the idea for the design from a magazine and i went with it. i thought it was very unique and simple just what amy wanted. it tasted even better. golden almond cake with dark chocolate ganache and chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse. i was a wreck all week but it couldn't have turned out more delicious. It was yummy, wish I had more! I love your almond cake! And it looked Absolutely Fabulous!

The boys ran in their first road race. it was a kids run at delaware park. they were a little timid in the mini dash as there were tons of kids and none of them new what was going on. then they ran the 1.8 mile loop. weston ran the entire way and finished with an impressive 24:50. Sandra came to visit for the weekend and we took her to the falls. the boys had a blast with her! Thanks for sharing your experiences here on your blog - - I enjoyed this post.
