Worthing Volleyball Club: September 2015
http://worthingvolleyballclub.blogspot.com/2015_09_01_archive.html
Monday, 28 September 2015. Another 5 setter for Demons - against Dolphins1 this time! The fact of being an underdog changes people in ways that we often fail to appreciate. It opens doors and creates opportunities and enlightens and permits things that might otherwise have seemed unthinkable. Can we dig it? Last season brought close matches between the Demons and the Dolphins, and this one was no exception. The best is yet to come. bring it on! Ps hope joey's knee gest better soon after her surgery; fant...

Worthing Volleyball Club: March 2015
http://worthingvolleyballclub.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 31 March 2015. The last National League weekend for 2014 and for a change Worthing were at home against Devon and Reading. Unfortunately the Devon game was cancelled as they had a number of players at South West training. Reading came straight back with a big hit but served out, this happened three times 17-17 but Worthing couldn't capitalise on the mistakes. 18-17 to Reading and it looked all over a big hit between the block Sintija couldn't make it and Chantelle missed it! The Sharks are the M...

Worthing Volleyball Club: Sharks show promise with epic opening game!
http://worthingvolleyballclub.blogspot.com/2015/10/sharks-show-promise-with-epic-opening.html
Sunday, 4 October 2015. Sharks show promise with epic opening game! The Sharks finally kicked off the 2015/16 season in the first week of October travelling to Brighton to face Brighton Freedom, one of the top teams in the league last year. Unlike last year were there was lots of scrambling to pull together six players, this year they went with a full complement of seven, ready and raring to go. Down at the first time out they pulled it back to 23:23. But again pulling back to 23:23. Fourth set was with ...

Worthing Volleyball Club: January 2015
http://worthingvolleyballclub.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, 18 January 2015. Angels travelled away to play Teela without Tanya and Sylwia so were pleased to welcome Joey and Trees to help us out. A slow start in the first set as everyone got used to playing with each other, but a late rally saw them narrowly lose to 23 points. Great court coverage from Joey, an improving first pass and good serving saw the Angels remain competitive in a close second set that went to their experienced opponents. Thursday, 15 January 2015. Sunday, 11 January 2015. Another g...

Worthing Volleyball Club: November 2014
http://worthingvolleyballclub.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, 20 November 2014. Devils Local and National League catch up. Since the last post Devils have played Worthing Demons and Dolphins Local League, South Hants National League and Essex again but this time in the National Cup. To keep Steve's interest I won't write full match reports for them all :). The Dolphins game was unique as all the Devils were early/on time and Captain Sintija was so keen to get going had them warming up at 17:55 half an hour before the start! Still the main thing was a resu...

Worthing Volleyball Club: Club Honours
http://worthingvolleyballclub.blogspot.com/p/team-honours.html
Worthing Volleyball Club started as a parents' fun night at the Vale School, Findon in 1990. The club entered a single men's team into the Sussex league in 1993 and by 1997 had moved to Worthing High School and gained promotion to Sussex division 1. The club had also acquired enough players to start another team and a junior programme. This junior side spawned the first Ladies' team, the Giants (the shortest team in the league at the time! Who went on to win the SVA cup for the first time in 2003. Junior...
