Rosemarie's Garden: Front yard: from garden bed to grass ... sacre bleu!
http://rosemariegarden.blogspot.com/2013/08/front-yard-from-garden-bed-to-grass.html
Friday, August 02, 2013. Front yard: from garden bed to grass . sacre bleu! The front yard is a work in progress. We have 2 different landscape plans and have not decided what we are doing but. we did know that the large garden bed closest to the street would have to be converted to grass. I know . "Make landscape not lawn," right? The beautiful curbside garden in 2006. Once the trees came down the garden grew wild (2012). And let's not forget it's about 15' x 30'! Everything got ripped out (2013). A gar...

Rosemarie's Garden: June 2013
http://rosemariegarden.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 29, 2013. Backyard: the kitchen window garden in June. Using picstitch, I've been able to "stitch" these 2 pictures together to see how the kitchen window garden has grown from May 6th (when it was planted) until today. From what I see, my annuals (white impatiens) have not fared so well, while the rest have clearly been enjoying this rainy June! Odd because I've had success with impatiens in the front flourishing .). Links to this post. Tuesday, June 11, 2013. We could use that. Then on P...

Rosemarie's Garden: May 2013
http://rosemariegarden.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 09, 2013. I used the website Dave's Garden. To research mail order places and felt confident choosing a reputable place - in the end I used 4 different mail order nurseries for 11 shrubs and 1 tree. So how do i feel about mail order? Point blank: If instant gratification is your thing, don't do mail order! Oh my god some of these shrubs were tiny. Almost laughable! Can you spot the tiny viburnums? Monday, May 06, 2013. Backyard garden: kitchen window garden plan and planting. But flopped ov...

Rosemarie's Garden: Spring Clean up time!
http://rosemariegarden.blogspot.com/2014/04/spring-clean-up-time.html
Saturday, April 12, 2014. Spring Clean up time! Welcome to the first blog post of 2014 in my garden and of course it's Spring Clean up time! The snow has finally melted and we had a warm Saturday where we took advantage of cleaning up the front yard. The front yard clean up list:. Cut back ornamental grasses. Cut back beautyberry shrub. Re-place all the flagstone walkway (I do this every couple years as they tend to shift and sink since they are layed in the dirt and not sand). Labels: Front yard gardens.

Wednesday, August 07, 2013. Backyard: The Kitchen Window Garden in July. This PicStitch is just so much fun . I had to do aother one for July to see how this garden has grown. This is a more dramatic change than June was:. The white impatiens have filled in finally! I added some ground cover geranium between the boxwood and impatiens. The sedum on the left hand side have grown almost taller than the boxwoods! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Who am I . briefly. Follow me by Email. Fall Vegetable Garde...

Rosemarie's Garden: Flagstone walkway inspiration
http://rosemariegarden.blogspot.com/2013/10/flagstone-walkway-inspiration.html
Tuesday, October 08, 2013. My previous post shows the flagstone walkway we just put in around our new vegetable area. You may have noticed a green pot sitting in the middle of the walkway. That wasn't a mistake (although the actual green pot may not be what we use in the end). My inspiration for this walkway with the vase came from the Herb Gardens at the Janesville, WI Rotary Gardens. Here are some of the photos. So lovely to see beautiful garden :). October 27, 2013 at 3:16 PM. Who am I . briefly.

Rosemarie's Garden: Jumanji, the killer clematis
http://rosemariegarden.blogspot.com/2006/08/jumanji-killer-clematis.html
Sunday, August 13, 2006. Jumanji, the killer clematis. We bought our house in February 2005. In the winter, you can't see the long list of sleeping plants who'll want your undivided attention come spring. All we saw was snow. However , we did see this pretty arbor on the side of our house and something like, "Awwww." came out of our mouths. 2-1/2 years later, I look at the arbor and something like, "Ahhhhh! Comes out. Little did I know that a clematis. I'm sure you're thinking, "Just cut it down and stop...
