Lionel Deimel’s Web Log. Random quick takes by Lionel Deimel. April 23, 2015. Analyzing the TREC Report, Part 3. This is the third installment in a series of essays on the final report of the Task Force for Reimagining The Episcopal Church. An index to all my posts analyzing the TREC report can be found here. The more I read the final report. In its nine General Convention resolutions, the TREC report gets deeply into details of tweaking the church as it is now. If one actually compares resolutions t...

Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, Warren, PA - 2 November 2014. The morning was cold&...

Some disagree with Mom. Who said nobody cares what I think. Friday, November 28, 2014. This was a good Thanksgiving. Given nearly catastrophic weather predictions for Wednesday I decided to drive all night hoping to avoid the snow. That I did. I had to stop for a nap twice and am grateful to my guardian angel for keeping me alive when I got sleepy. I'd prefer to not do that very often. This is Kaya catching her tail and going round and round with it. Here she is much quieter guarding the door. For Margar...

St. Paul’s’ Epistle: Thoughts on the Candidate Forum
http://www.stpaulsmtl.org/2015/02/thoughts-on-candidate-forum.html
St Paul’s’ Epistle. An unofficial blog about parish life at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mt. Lebanon, Pa., in the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh. Thursday, February 12, 2015. Thoughts on the Candidate Forum. St Paul’s is to be commended for staging a candidate forum before the Vestry election. It is also encouraging that we have six candidates for four positions. Parishioners do actually have a choice to make. There were three questions from the audience. My question was. Charles Coleman, when called ...

St Paul’s’ Epistle. An unofficial blog about parish life at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mt. Lebanon, Pa., in the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh. Monday, September 29, 2014. Posted by Lionel Deimel. Links to this post. Tuesday, September 23, 2014. I have taken to reading Vestry minutes from St. Paul’s. Minutes for the past few meetings are posted on the bulletin board outside the church office, which assures that few parishioners will ever read them. We need owners for the Vestry Retreat Action Items.

Some disagree with Mom: St Paul's Episcopal Church, Mayville, NY, Sunday, 16 November 2014
http://somedisagreewithmom.blogspot.com/2014/11/st-pauls-episcopal-church-mayville-ny.html
Some disagree with Mom. Who said nobody cares what I think. Sunday, November 16, 2014. St Paul's Episcopal Church, Mayville, NY, Sunday, 16 November 2014. Another adventure over new roads today took me thru Sherman, NY. The road to Mayville is like a kiddo's roller coaster - gentle hills - unlike some of the NW PA roads I've driven that are more like Cedar Point scary at speed. The day began with blue skies but clouds moved in during church. St Paul's Episcopal Church. Is on Erie St and easy to find.
