Yes, we are a good match. Scan (inaccurate colours and the subtle background is lost, but good detail retention). Iphone photos for detail/better colour shots (I need a new camera). Wednesday, November 11, 2009. An assignment for interpretive illustration class, a spin-off of Eustace Tilley. Designed for a postcard. It's meant to be a promotional New Yorker image. The idea is that King Kong dressed up and bought a ticket for a show, but once he arrived on location (Empire State Building) he realized that he WAS the show. In my head it was funny. I'm still trying to decide whether to keep the ink washes natural or if I should halftone them. For now, you get to see the natural ink washes. I hope you like them!
