Understanding Bits

Wednesday, May 14, 2014. This was a cute little 5k. It was out in Herriman, so off the beaten path. It started at a park and was easy to find. I was a little worried about that since I don't know the area well. PRO. The race is to raise money for a girl scout camp. And as you guessed it there were girl scout cookies involved! This was a small race but it was still chip timed. There was not a lot of food at the finish. They had great awards. There were cute wood plaques. That I am excited about. Plus the ...

Understanding Bits: "Chase the Mayor 5K"

http://www.understandingbits.blogspot.com/2014/05/chase-mayor-5k.html

Thursday, May 1, 2014. Chase the Mayor 5K". This is the 5K. That is in conjunction with the Provo City Marathon. It was on May 4th. LAST YEAR (2013), I just didnt get around to blogging about it until now. Or at least get close. As you may have guessed from my rant this race was long. I did totally love that this race stared at 9am. This also meant that the marathon winner finished among a large group of half marathoners so there was no ribbon and he was doing quite a bit of weaving. They finally started...

Every plant in the garden will look down on me. … How could you do this to me? I thought you were the gardener here.”. I have done everything I could do to measure up. Our Little Croft Family: Identifying Self: Clothing Style

http://nateandmegs.blogspot.com/2011/11/identifying-self-clothing-style.html

Monday, November 7, 2011. Identifying Self: Clothing Style. New clothes add up quickly. This may have been one of my biggest obstacles in taking the leap. But through a gracious alignment of the stars, I was afforded a small REI shopping spree. Some of my favorite new clothes include. So there you have it, "my style". And the best part of having these new clothes. looking in the mirror and feeling like I'm looking at me. And walking in a room and feeling like I'm actually representing me.

Our Little Croft Family: New Year

http://nateandmegs.blogspot.com/2012/01/new-year.html

Sunday, January 1, 2012. On making New Years Resolutions: I have changed my outlook a bit. I have come to the conclusion that last years list was not really a list of resolutions. It was a list of goals. But mostly it was a glorified to-do list. While in many ways the terms "resolutions" and "goals" are interchangeable, and goals do require resolve to be accomplished, I would like this years resolution to focus more on a resolve for change. And here it is: I resolve to be more patient. Patience means sta...

Our Little Croft Family: Perspective

http://nateandmegs.blogspot.com/2012/01/perspective.html

Monday, January 16, 2012. Last night I started to get frustrated. I was trying to find a home for something in my fridge and it was not going so well. My fridge was just too disorderly because there was too much stuff in it. But then I paused, gained a little perspective, and sent my frustration out the door. I am so grateful that my fridge is full. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Brittney and Ryan Nelson. Hannah and Canyon Prusso. James and Jill Abbott. Jason and Katelyn Roberts. Our Little Croft Family: February 2012

http://nateandmegs.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 12, 2012. Catching Up: Pre-Christmas Fun. We had a lot of fun leading up to Christmas. We went to the Jubilee of Trees in St. George and The Festival of Trees. Oliver of course preferred trees with trains! Oliver's preschool had a Christmas program. So cute! Oliver knew the songs and did a pretty good job singing and doing the actions. The roof is my work though). The little tree off to the side is one of the fun Christmas crafts Oliver made at school. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://nateandmegs.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 24, 2010. Thursday, December 2, 2010. Fall Play - Winter Play. This fall was long, but way too short. The days were pleasant and beautiful. The leaves seemed to fall late, which made it seem like it was lasting longer that it really did. I did a lot of raking at my mom's house. Oliver loves to help in the yard, and he's a pretty good helper too. This was the first year he jumped full on into the leaves and completely loved. Every minute of leaf pile play! It was so fun!

Tuesday, August 23, 2011. I have completely jumped the blogging ship this year. And I have a pretty good excuse, but then again she's also a really good reason to blog! So, finally a post about my baby girl. Elsie joined our family on April 1st. Yes, April Fools Day, Heaven help me! So painless. Loved it! My baby girl was born at 11:54 am. She was 8 lbs and 20 inches. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Brittney and Ryan Nelson. Hannah and Canyon Prusso. James and Jill Abbott. Jason and Katelyn Roberts.

Understanding Blood Tests

Feeling good and avoiding dread diseases means you have to know some stuff. Dread diseases come at us from two directions. First, we don’t arm our bodies for battle by supplying the support they need, and they slide into a mess. Second, enemies break in and create chaos, keeping our bodies from doing what they need to do. In either case, it takes a while for disaster to strike. Meanwhile, we don’t have a clue we’re in trouble. Why would we let that happen? Our bodies talk to us all the time. Figuring out...
