Sundown over Cap de Cala Figuera and the sun sets at sea. One of the great things about sailing in the evening is the sunset. Here the sun has not quite set but has dipped below the skyline and a plane leaves a trail in the sky like a comet as it probably takes some holiday makers home. Anuary has been a busy month. I returned home after my little holiday in the mountains and spent the rest of the month working flat-out with only Sundays off. However, whilst working I did manage to include a trip to the Palma Aquarium. A tour of the Es. Museum of Modern Art. And the Art Ga. Llery at the Palau March in Palma,. And all in the first 2 weeks! That somehow manages to avoid being b. The night is finished off with a massive firework display set to music. Was fortunate enough to spend a wee.

A big fat spider! This is a really spectacular spider! I saw it today at a plant nursery, quietly tucked away inbetween some shrubs so I moved a few out of the way to get some decent pictures. Its body is about an inch and a half long (37mm? Excluding the legs. It was one of those 'arachnaphobic' situations when you want to get as close as possible to get get a good picture but.its a big spider! Strangely scary but amazingly beautiful at the same time. Life on a Catalan Mountain. Lec here, living ‘up a mountain’ at Los Corrales. It’s a finca, but just like most fincas it earns zero euros. So, much time is spent living rather frugally, but very happily here. There’s me and BigD, the humans, plus three dogs which are way too large, a cat who’s just way to here and a few hens just to keep us all fed.
