Come see where we go and what we do when we're on the road. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. We were out taking pictures of the Saguaro Cactus west of Tucson and had seen signs for the Desert Museum but hadn't bothered checking it out. Well, we came upon it this day and there was a huge parking lot - mostly full - and lots and lots of people. We were thinking, a small desert museum . but this far exceeded that! All the animals in the Zoo section were sleeping! There was a wonderful "untethered" Raptor show!

The campgrounds are full of oil field workers - housing shortages - we've been advised to always call ahead for an available site. Lots and lots of windmills here also. Some pretty Texas flowers (weeds, maybe! Very large, fat grasshoppers in the cemeteries, too. I had this door magnet made up - we really like it! Sunday, May 13, 2012. Fun in Deming, NM. Can't wait to try it out on those back roads leading to the cemeteries we love so much! This was a Christmas gift that I absolutely LOVE! So it's a big event, too. It is RIGHT NEXT to the Mexican border. The closest we've been to Mexico. The fence in the background is the "America/Mexico" border fence. The beautiful Hotel Gadsden in Douglas, AZ. Cookbook by Jessica Seinfeld. 1 cup whole-wheat flour. 1 cup old-fashioned oats. 1 tsp baking soda. 1/2 tsp. salt. 1/4 tsp. cinnamon. 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar. 6 Tbsp. trans-fat-free soft tub margarine spread, chilled (I just used butter). 1/2 cup banana puree. 1/2 cup zucchini puree. 1 large egg white. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional). (Tastes a lot like a snickers bar! 1/3 c unsweetened baking cocoa (the good stuff). 1/4 c packed brown sugar. 3 1/2 c. confectioners sugar. 1 tsp van extract. 30 caramel candies, unwrapped. 2 c salted peanuts. 1/2 c semi sweet chocolate chips. 1/2 c milk chocolate chips. In microwave bowl put butter, cocoa, brown sugar and milk- put on high for 3 mins.
