It’s got some stories from the Old and New Testaments… I dunno if you want to look at it, but I grabbed one for you.” I held out the book with a meek smile. December 3, 2014 at 4:17 PM. Her Army of One: October 2014
http://herarmyofone.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Her Army of One. The story of a girl who found faith on her own. Monday, October 27, 2014. As a child, I learned how to time my shoes, ride my bike, and use my manners. I didn’t teach myself these things; my parents taught me. Through them, I learned how to function in society through observation. Our parents act as guides in making the journey from being young children incapable of doing anything for ourselves, to fully functional adults, capable of independent thought. Monday, October 20, 2014. And bes...

Her Army of One: Faith Responsibility
http://herarmyofone.blogspot.com/2014/11/faith-responsibility.html
Her Army of One. The story of a girl who found faith on her own. Monday, November 3, 2014. Another thing I learned on my journey is that as important as it is to have Christian mentors in your life to help build your faith, it is just as important to understand that as the only Christian in your family, your faith is your responsibility. Most kids who grow up in the church only continue to go because their parents make them attend. This can actually affect them in negative ways. I Dont Need Your Opinion.

Soundless Laughter: Silence
http://soundlesslaughter.blogspot.com/2014/12/silence.html
Monday, December 8, 2014. A world of nothing. It's a sea of faces,. Lips moving, but no sound erupting. My head turns round and round,. Trying to make sense of it all. The silence is so loud, it's deafening. I snap my fingers by my ears,. Desperately trying to grasp any whisper at all. Looking at the doctor,. She puts a contraption in my ear. I sit there, confused. She begins to fiddle on the computer. Suddenly, soft sounds begin to fill my ears. The radiator running,. The rain on the roof,.

Soundless Laughter: December 2014
http://soundlesslaughter.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 11, 2014. Being deaf, along with many other things, has its advantages and its disadvantages. I can literally "tune out". I sleep in peace every single night. Loud music does not hurt my eyes. However, if a fire alarm goes off during sleep or a shower, I am sort of screwed if someone does not save me. I can be the brunt of jokes. It can be hard to follow a conversation in a loud area. I would like to give a shoutout to Sam Anderson, in her blog They Just Say It Better. The rain on the ...

Into the Christian Fog: Be Angry
http://christianfog.blogspot.com/2011/10/be-angry.html
Into the Christian Fog. Sunday, October 23, 2011. I have found that sometimes i give up on things. Like working out or getting good at ping pong or writting letters. I somehow become apathetic towards things like this. Sometimes i feel apathetic towards my spiritual life too. I normally have strong feelings and emotions regarding what path God is taking me down but every once in awhile it all drifts away as i begin to feel nothing. I think is the most dangerous place for a person to be. I have found that...

Into the Christian Fog: Fear?
http://christianfog.blogspot.com/2011/10/fear.html
Into the Christian Fog. Sunday, October 30, 2011. Sin is believing the lie that you are self-created, self-dependent and self-sustained. A friend asked if Jesus ever feared when he was alive. Now I am no theologian but it certainly got me thinking. What is fear and why do we have it? I know that this is such a complex question but hang with me because i might be on to something. And what if sin was as st. Augustine describes it? Looking back on Jesus, maybe He was so aware of who He was that His confiden...
