A dads journey through first-time parenthood. The nature of blogs; bumps and bruises. It's funny. The more a blog like this is left alone, the less likely it is that someone will eventually start using it again. I've seen that many times with blogs by strangers, but especially with friends. And me, too. I think it has something to do with the fear of the nagging feeling of needing to continue posting once one starts again. We were back to school and daycare. Things haven't slowed down much since then.

A dads journey through first-time parenthood. It's almost unbelievable, but Mommy and I took you to Preschool Open House last night. There was a beautiful light snow falling, making the building look beautiful in the early evening, and it was so fun to watch you walk into your future first classroom bright-eyed and ready to explore. I think you understood the meaning of that word for the first time tonight, when we joined your church nursery buddies and their parents/nursery volunteers for a party at Miss Holly's home. Yes, you were of course big on their doggy Moby, but had even more fun in the sand box, eating ice cream, chasing around the yard, and especially on the play set. The older kids set up the slide so that it ended in a pool of plastic balls. Cool!
