http://hudsonvalleykids.blogspot.com/2009/06/beware-ticks-of-spring.html
For kids of all ages exploring the Hudson Valley. Wednesday, June 17, 2009. BEWARE the ticks of spring. We caught a live female nymph deer tick on an unwitting friend last weekend and looked at it under the microscope (it was easily the smallest one in this diagram). It was an interesting educational activity we don't recommend to the squimish! Posted by Hudson Valley Kids. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Loving life in the Hudson Valley? Its rolling green lawns and beautiful formal gardens are a great place for a sunset picnic overlooking The South Tivoli Bay and Hudson River. Maple Marshmallows The New 19th Century Kitchen
http://www.new19thcenturykitchen.com/maple-marshmallows
My friend Virginia asked me if I had ever made marshmallows. She was looking for marshmallows without all that junk the store- bought varieties have and didn’t want to shell out 10 bucks for the artisanal ones. I hadn’t made them before, but Fairlight, the awe-inspiring former baker at Otto’s Market. Makes them about every week. She assured me that they were easy, so I decided to give them a whirl. Cane syrup I want to try next. I used these sites for references:. And this nifty blog, Brownie Points.
