I climbed out of the car and listened to trucks downshifting in the distance, with a counterpoint of small birds happily celebrating the fact that they’ve just survived Chicago’s worst winter in recorded history. For me, it was the bottle. Innocently enough, I was indulging in my love of black and white film, watching Cecil B. DeMille’s “Why Change Your Wife? Then, whim struck again, and I did a little more research. And, lo! Figured the Taboo approach was good, so I tossed the following together:. 1 starfruit, sliced. Expired, I no...

Two Sheets in the Wind. Stocking a Liquor Cabinet. October 5, 2010. Luksusowa – $18 – surprisingly smooth for the price point, and much nicer than its compatriots under $25. Mineral notes with hints of citrus, as opposed to heavier citrus or spice notes of many vodkas. Stolichnaya – $25 – I started on this one, and it is still my second choice on cheap vodkas, as it is readily available, and drinks easier than the rubbing alcohol that is Skyy. Still making observations on this one too. I don’t ...Buffalo...

Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Later that night I went on to Craigslist and started hashing out an ad. Here is what I ended up posting.
