Will You Take the Balcony or the Stage? There is a great metaphor that concerns our willingness to get down and dirty with respect to what is right or wrong in the world today. Where you place yourself can say much about how you wish to engage our world regarding what you think really matters. The reality is that many players start out on the stage, but somewhere along the line end up in the balcony. As life changes us, we might alter our perception perhaps intentionally, but usually not. We are at war&#...

Are You Older Than Your Boss? According to a national survey conducted by CareerBuilder, 38 percent of American workers are older than their supervisor. This trend seems to be continuing, as many baby boomers are electing to work past the benchmark retirement age of 67, and as Millennials continue to enter the workforce with increased qualifications. The good news is that of the 38 percent, only 9 percent find the situation difficult. And Here’s Another Tidbit:. 2 Pinpoint Your Assets. One pitfall in suc...

On those rare occasions that my dad told me he was proud of me, nothing else in the world could have given me more satisfaction for that brief moment. Similarly, on those equally rare occasions when my dad told me he was ashamed of me, I felt myself wishing the earth would open up and swallow me whole. I think that’s probably true for many of us. We want the major players in our lives to be proud of us. We especially like it when they tell us so. Nothing wrong with that it’s human nature. Why not join me?

Turn off your cell phone, or any other potential distractions. Let your friends / families know that you’ll be taking a walk with Jesus. Take this Prayer Walk with you as you walk in an area where dead leaves, a tree, and a stone can be found. Dear Father, I desire to spend uninterrupted time with You just You. As I begin this prayer walk, help me to experience Your presence in a new way. Draw close to me as I draw close to You (James 4: 8). In Jesus’ name, Amen. A few dead leaves in your neighborhood.

Please tell me the story behind writing this song. Which Bible verses connect to the message of the song? What is the takeaway message? The governme...
