The Great Minnesota Get-Together! September 4, 2012. Like years past ( 2009. We packed up the family and headed to the Minnesota State Fair. To celebrate the end of summer. It’s been a long-standing favorite Minnesotan tradition of ours. Minnesota has the second largest fair in the country, second only to Texas. And for two born-and-raised Texans who couldn’t imagine missing the fair each August, it seems ironic that neither Joe or myself have. Been to the one in Texas. The cherry on top! Leave one →.

Minnesota state fair 2013 : in pictures. September 8, 2013. On Labor Day, we loaded up the van and headed to the Great Minnesota Get-Together for our annual trip to the State Fair. It’s our favorite way to end the summer (or kick-off the fall) in Minnesota. Sam) were at such a fun age to enjoy everything. We rode rides, visited animal barns, watched the parade, cheered at the rodeo, and tried our best to sample every form of corn the fair had to offer (kettle corn, roasted corn, high-fructose corn)!

We’re having a baby! December 15, 2008. Praise God from whom all blessings flow…. We are so excited to share with you the wonderful news of our little baby! We couldn’t be more grateful for this gift! I am currently 12 weeks pregnant and am due the 4th of July! We had an early ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy and have since heard the heartbeat twice. We have been blessed with wonderful visits to the doctor and continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy. Thank you for sharing in our joy! Leave one →.

Countdown to Christmas . . . with books! November 30, 2012. One Advent tradition that is quickly becoming a favorite in our home is counting down the days ’til Christmas with books. We began last year. Over opening a new book each evening (who doesn’t love opening things? This year, Peter is joining us in this tradition, so we have a small mix of books suited for both ages. However, I have my good friend, Haley. We wrap them up, number them, and this year, we displayed them in our fire-less fireplace.

I thought it was quite yummy and moist, and I could have easily served it with a little pasta:). 2 pounds lean ground beef. 1 egg, beaten. 1 1/4 cups grated Parmesan cheese. 1 small onion, finely chopped. 1 cup cracker crumbs. 3/4 cup whole or evaporated milk. 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste. 1/2 cup pasta sauce. Labels: :Parmesan Meat Loaf. Monday, March 29, 2010. Sun Dried Tomato Dip. 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature. 1/2 cup sour cream.

Thursday, November 4, 2010. A few weeks ago, we headed to the pumpkin patch at Johnson Farm. We had so much fun with our friends, and we all learned a few things about growing pumpkins. Abi got to pick out a pumpkin, and she found the smallest, cutest (don't know if you could even call it a real) pumpkin! Mommy, can I eat this? Finding the chickens with Kelly. Hey Ruby, don't we have the life? It is so warm and cozy in this stroller thing:). This pumpkin is so much bigger then my little one:).
