Biking now with a new friend, the pace has been considerably slower but the company has been great. Johnny put Lauren in touch with me and she brought her bike over from the states. It's nice going slower and taking more time to enjoy the countryside, especially the beautiful beaches and kauri forests of Northland. Sunset over Kaipara Harbour.

New Plymouth, with its power plant and shipping port on the left, Mt Taranaki in the distance, and great surfing beaches around the cape to the right.
