The Old School was built in local stone in the 1870s, enlarged in traditional style in 1970, but ceased to function as a school in 2004. Since 2007, it has been carefully and tastefully renovated to provide a spacious family home that also offers high quality B&B facilities with an attractive outlook. It sits on the A711 that connects Kirkcudbright to Auchencairn and Dalbeattie. There is plenty of off-road parking and we have three guest rooms with either en-suite or private bathrooms.

We particularly recommend spending a summer evening on the patio, watching the sun set and the light changing on the abbey ruins.
