8 stitches to the inch was invented by demons | The Ivory Needles
https://theivoryneedles.wordpress.com/2013/02/28/8-stitches-to-the-inch-was-invented-by-demons
A young lady knitting through time. 8 stitches to the inch was invented by demons. Oh, sure, I told myself, sure, 8 stitches to the inch won’t be so bad. You’ve done seven, and you survived! As much as I am loving miles and miles of solid color stockinette… This project is going rather slow. I have just finished the back piece and am about to start the front. I am already dreaming about my next project. Here is what I have so far! No more 8 stitches per inch jumpers for me. February 28, 2013 at 6:23 am.

Warm Toes & The Land Army | The Ivory Needles
https://theivoryneedles.wordpress.com/2013/04/24/warm-toes-the-land-army
A young lady knitting through time. Warm Toes and The Land Army. Sorry my posting has slowed down a bit. I assure you it will pick back up in a jiffy with exciting finished objects! As I briefly mentioned in a previous post, my current project is my very own Women’s Land Army pullover. After I bought the pants, (see “Define Obsession”) I figured it was high time for me to knit the iconic ribbed sweater. Here it is so far! Big plans for the photo shoot, so stay tuned.😉. It is so soft, and certainly helpi...

Making honey...: July 2009
http://honeybee-blog.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 19, 2009. Each of my daughters has a candle that I lit as they made their way into this world. Each year, on the eve of their birthday, we light it again. Sitting beside them tucked up in bed, in the soft candlelight I tell these words:. When I have said my evening prayer,. And my clothes are folded in the chair,. And Mother switches off the light,. I'll still be nine years old tonight. But, from the very break of day,. Before the children rise and play,. Before the greenness turns to gold,.

Making honey...: February 2009
http://honeybee-blog.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2009. The girls and I had a real treat tonight. The lovely Sarah, who runs our Montmorency store, is part of the community choir - Yirriba - who were performing in Eltham. As community and friends gathered in the mudbrick hall.the children languished on cushions at the front - picnicing on brownies and punch, while friends and strangers chatted over hot cups of Chai. We tapped our feet to the funky, jazz, bluesy, sounds of the Teskey Brothers. Melissa Ellen, Honeybee Toys. Handmade d...

Kate Davies Designs is the proud winner of the FSB / Worldpay award for microbusiness of the year! A kiss from France. April 9, 2013. January 4, 2016. First world war postcards. First World War silks. World War 1 silks. I so enjoyed your translations and comments on this post. The cards were usually sent in military mail pouches rather than being stamped and posted in the ‘open’ mail. Because they were protected in transit, the embroidered panels could be quite delicate in design. Man...Cards might be de...
