Monday, 29 March 2010. Finally, with the help of a couple of friends we lifted, turned and put the boat down during a snatched hour at the weekend. Does this mean we are halfway? Many thanks to Ben and Ed. The fillets we put in whilst the boat was upside were more than strong enough to manhandle the boat with confidence. Good and Stiff! Spot the boat surveyor below; always working! Some cradles we made out of the plywood offcuts. Friends to help turn her over (this could have been done with three persons).

Tuesday, 22 March 2011. The cockpit sole has been bonded down, the cedar batten as per 'cockpit sides to deck corner' piece is going in place (see below) We've used lengths of pine to 'wedge' the cedar in place, ensuring the batten looks fair. Friday, 7 June 2013. Getting There. . . . . Slowly. More Photos as we approach painting time. A fair amount has been done, got the rig in 2 days ago, rigging sized, all measurements taken and sent off to North Sails UK for sail design. Fin and bulb dry fitted again to check draft etc, top plate about to be manufactured and then we can fill and fair the bulb. Also might have to paint the bulb but not the fin as it's aluminium and the paint will scrape off as the fit is very tight. 3 August 2013 at 23:50.

Mandag den 26. september 2011. Så har FarFar fået kølen på igen, efter godt to år uden. Abonner på: Kommentarer til indlægget (Atom). Vis hele min profil. At ombygge en 606´er til noget mere simpelt! En 606´er er en 20 fods kølbåd. Projektet går ud på at lave en båd der er meget simpel. Den første Dansker der gjorde dette er den legendariske bådkonstruktør Georg Berg, der i Juni 1954 konstruerede "Ole"-Båden, som han selv sejlede i til han var godt 80 år.
