Drift by Drag — The Drift

On June 30th 2012, the Drift sailed queens Veronica Bleaus and Dani Lamorte off the shores of the Allegheny River for a floating edition of their Drive by Drag. Performance series. The aquatic beauties crashed the Kenny Chesney concert during the Pittsburgh Regatta, lip-syncing and gyrating to the rhythms of pop water music.
Michael Jones McKean — The Drift

The Drift is very pleased to announce their first artist in residence for 2015, Michael Jones McKean. Through this program, the Drift commissions artists to produce temporary art projects in the public sphere that address the three rivers in Pittsburgh as a context, site, and material. The development of McKean's project will span a series of several events that will be open to the public. On October 30th, 2014 through the support of the Center for the Arts in Society. At Carnegie Mellon University.

Rpm is a project commissioned for Open Engagement 2015 in Pittsburgh and was produced by the Drift in collaboration with the Institute for New Feeling. The Baiji's Last Swim — The Drift

The Baiji's Last Swim. A project by Jennifer Nagle Myers. Reimagines the last swim of the Chinese river dolphin, known as. A species declared extinct in 2006. The performance involved musician Mimi Jong on the erhu as well as scuba diver Stacey Kranick in the water with a custom lighting rig. The event occured on the Allegheny River, viewable from Millvale Riverfront Park, Millvale, PA, on July 19, 2013 at dusk.
