Journey to the Fatherland: Deutschland 2009. This is the tale of 5 1/2 months in Europe. Let it begin. Wednesday, June 17, 2009. As last Thursday was a holiday (gotta love those German holidays), I traveled to Munich and Dachau last weekend with a few good Heidelbergean friends. I'm going to separate these two places into separate blogs, however, as their natures and tones were so drastically different. I'll start with Munich! The beer gardens were beautiful. Today I woke a happy girl as I looked out the window to find that the sun had come out for the second day since I've been here!
