Letters to Numbers: What I did for Christmas
http://letters2numbers.blogspot.com/2009/12/what-i-did-for-christmas.html
Saturday, December 26, 2009. What I did for Christmas. Hi all, I know it's been a loooong time since I've posted. Suffice to say, a few readers were reading and making some very derogatory remarks. I got in a bit of a snit about it and stopped writing. I think I'm over it now. Those of you who read just to say nasty things. go away. You know who you are! So, Merry Christmas everyone else! After working on this for a while, we turned into the field and I crossed all my available digits. I've been admonish...

Letters to Numbers: New Place to Work
http://letters2numbers.blogspot.com/2009/05/new-place-to-work.html
Sunday, May 24, 2009. New Place to Work. I made a couple of calls, and found a place relatively close to home that I could work my dogs. The Kentucky Bluegrass. I had been watching the DVDs made at Scott's and one of the things that Scott said was that I needed to be determined. That stuck with me, and I decided to dig in my heels and be determined. She was going to run at the Bluegrass and we weren't going to embarrass ourselves. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A city girl with sheepdogs. I came...

Letters to Numbers: The Queen Comes Home
http://letters2numbers.blogspot.com/2009/05/queen-comes-home.html
Wednesday, May 20, 2009. The Queen Comes Home. I know I'm a bit tardy updating this blog. I have lots to share and will do so in a few posts. I'll try to do them in a relatively short time frame. The first weekend of April, 2009 was when I was going to get Stella. I had decided to fly out to Scott and Jenny's, spend some time with Scott and, if he had time, maybe take a lesson with him. After having gone to the lengths of sending her there, why not go and pick her up? That was a good decision for me.

Her lovely russet points have all gone white, but she's still beautiful to behold. Photo by Dan King. Photo by Dan King. Photo by Dan King. Photo by Sue Rayburn. Photos by Laurie Schultz. These are just gratuitous shots of Ranger-the-Pig at Edgeworth. We discovered he can swim (by accident) in the Edgeworth pond, though dabbling in...

Musings about life at Willow's Rest Farm, home of karakul, tunis, and mule sheep, and a bunch of other critters, including ten border collies. Thursday, July 21, 2011. What a Way to Resurrect! Yes, it's been a year (or thereabouts) and I've been meaning to start posting again, but haven't gotten around to it. At least not till Laura forced my hand. So here we go! So the question is this: "If you were a sheep, what breed would you be? And the winner is: Scottish Blackface! And it says this, too:. So, we S...

Musings about life at Willow's Rest Farm, home of karakul, tunis, and mule sheep, and a bunch of other critters, including ten border collies. Thursday, August 18, 2011. If it weren't for Laura, well, this blog would still be languishing, I'm afraid. It's Tell Me Thursday, thanks to Laura at Crooks and Crazies. So here we go. 1 Who is your newest dog? Where is he/she from, and why did you choose this particular dog/breeding? This question posted by Jodi. 2 What traits drew you to this dog or breeding?

Musings about life at Willow's Rest Farm, home of karakul, tunis, and mule sheep, and a bunch of other critters, including ten border collies. Thursday, March 1, 2012. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who misses a week now and then! So I actually have some breathing space from freelance work, short-lived though it may be. And what am I going to do with that little bit of free time? Well, play Tell Me Thursday, of course! 1 What blogging tip would you give other dog-bloggers? Does that mean something...

Mad Spaghetti Noodle Lady and Her Furry Friends. Nov 2nd, 2008 at 5:46 AM. Here's a video of Linc's second time out yesterday. Please forgive the fact that there is about 30 seconds of chain rattling at the beginning. Hah! I've had him on sheep maybe a handful of times - about once every 2-3 months. Aug 17th, 2008 at 1:42 PM. I had sorted off some sheep to work and had pushed 3/4 of the flock into the corral. When I came back to get them. they were gone! Anyway, I suspect it was a productive morning, but...
