Tay and Des and Kitties. Thursday, May 3, 2012. I'm loving all the cute banners on pinterest lately and all the fun spring crafts! I decided to update my mantle with a fresh look for spring, so I made this banner. The first thing I did was cut out the circles and letters on my Silhouette. I cut out 5.5 inch circles in a bunch of different shades of orange and blue. I also cut out a scalloped circle in white from the stock library and letters to spell the word "spring.". Well look at you go!

And I finally finished the activity blanket that I had been making for him. Tay and Des and Kitties. Sunday, October 21, 2012. I made some chalkboard labels for my craft room and this is how I did it:. I bought these cheap little wooden frames at Michael's. I spray painted them light blue to match my room. I took a scrap of fabric and tied it around the top of the frame. Tay and Des and Kitties. Wednesday, March 14, 2012. I made these birdhouses to decorate my craft room. First, I bought these yellow birdhouses at Ross for about $15 each. Then I put some fake flowers and fake little vines that I got at Micheals for a huge discount. On my Cameo Silhouette, I cut out two birds (from the standard free library that comes with the software) and then also cut mirror images of them. I glued them wrong sides together to make 2 birds. Tay and Des and Kitties. Monday, January 30, 2012. Here's some more Valentine's "art." I found some cool frames from various stores and the back of my closet and painted them silver a while ago. I decided to switch out the pictures in them with some holiday-appropriate artwork. I glued a stencil heart on the top of the music and popped it into a frame. Tay and Des and Kitties. Sunday, December 19, 2010. Homemade Cat Play Mat. To make this toy, I got two pretty large pieces of fabric that were about the same size. Then I cut a little slit about two inches long near one corner. Next I tucked a catnip mouse under one of the slits and used a zig zag stitch to sew over its little tail a few times. The idea is that the cats can barely see the mouse and can have fun digging around for it through the slit, but it won't come out. Friday, December 10, 2010.

Here's some more pics of our sweet flowers and our kitties. They love to go outside now. They mew and mew until we let them out everyday.
