Andrew's Semester in London: January 2008

http://www.springsemesterinlondon.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

Andrew's Semester in London. Thursday, January 31, 2008. La Traviata, the opera I saw last night at The Royal Opera House in. Was the epitome of “high ar. T” Not high in the. Sense, nor high in the sense of “Oh man my nose is going to bleed from being in this seat on the 5. Level” High as in classy, sophisticated even a bit pretentious. And I loved every second of it. D to leave her seat and go into the hallway. I guess art really can influence life. That’s all for now. I am going to. But the point of th...

Andrew's Semester in London. Sunday, March 30, 2008. This time of the semester is when we all inevitably have started to miss things about home. The problem is because we all know that the time is limited. The semester is only four months long. Whether we are counting the days until we have to leave or whether we are counting the days until we get to go home, we are counting something and know that it isn’t infinite. Soda that’s the right size. Having a desk in my room. Riding in a car. To write some sor...

Andrew's Semester in London: February 2008

Andrew's Semester in London. Thursday, February 21, 2008. The Brits are not falsely friendly. In other words, if they don’t know you they won’t pretend to be your friend in the way an American would. With Americans it is always, “Hello. How yo. How’s the family? Great to hear it.” Not the case here across the pond. But I have grown accustomed to it. I do it. It’s fine. And because I have become used to it, it is weird to not. The minority. Perhaps they actually. Would it be impolite to be too polite?

From the. Re I will take a bus to. My travel itinerary for this two-week expedition is as follows:. My hope is to.

Andrew's Semester in London: Byline baby

http://www.springsemesterinlondon.blogspot.com/2008/04/byline-baby.html

Andrew's Semester in London. Sunday, April 20, 2008. I did it. I got my byline. Surprisingly they kept a lot of my own language, which I purposefully tried to make subtly funny. I am now officially a Cleveland Cavs fans. Also, after going to the West Ham vs. Derby match yesterday, I have now seen more Premier League games than NFL games. That's strange. I have also seen three more Premier League stadiums than NFL stadiums and six more PL teams than NFL teams. Strange again. April 20, 2008 at 9:02 AM.

We Weren't Trying To Lose This Game. We were trying to win this game. And all the other games. Which is what this blog is about. Thursday, April 10, 2008. Apparently, not something the Yankees are familiar with. Unfortunately, anything the Yankees did with the arms was a moot point, as the offense was shut out for the first time this year. Today's pitching matchup features Andy Pettitte (0-1, 5.40 ERA) and the Royals' John Bale (0-1, 5.68 ERA). A new The Play Is Under Review. LAX: Boston University 19.

We Weren't Trying To Lose This Game. We were trying to win this game. And all the other games. Which is what this blog is about. Friday, April 11, 2008. A taste of Wang. Yeah Gross. I have the sense of humor of a 12-year-old. I was going to post before today's Sox-Yanks opener but was stuck in a location sans Internet, so a recap-ish thing will have to suffice. For BU sports, the only action over the past two days was a 5-1 softball victory against UConn. SFT: Boston University 5. MLB: Yankees 6,.
