The End's Not Near: From Philip Larkin's "Church Going"
http://kristenka.blogspot.com/2010/09/from-philip-larkins-church-going.html
The End's Not Near. From Philip Larkin's "Church Going". A serious house on serious earth it is,. In whose blent air all our compulsions meet,. Are recognized, and robed as destinies. And that much never can be obsolete,. Since someone will forever be surprising. A hunger in himself to be more serious,. And gravitating with it to this ground,. Which, he once heard, was proper to grow wise in,. If only that so many dead lie round. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Open diary circa 1999 twin.

The End's Not Near: December 2009
http://kristenka.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
The End's Not Near. We have in this old story the idea that we human beings are not dependable creatures, we are easily lured from one way or another, we get out of balance and out of harmony with our natural surroundings and also we can get out of harmony with one another. And then it is quite difficult and painful but necessary to make a kind of ceremony to find our way back. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Open diary circa 1999 twin. View my complete profile.

The End's Not Near: April 2010

The End's Not Near. And the swans are all huddled together. How can people live such long lives? Skin bag full of bones. It isn't emptiness, per se. I like babies because they remind me that I'm an animal. I like cats and dogs because they don't talk. If I were an alien, I wonder what I'd think of humans, of mankind. I try to pretend, and all I can imagine feeling is pity, the alien equivalent of clicking my tongue. But I guess it depends. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Open diary circa 1999 twin.

The Chapstick Blog: February 2008
http://thechapstickblog.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 24, 2008. So I guess to most of my friends, family, ex lovers, etc. It is a huge shock that I myself am a "girly girl" I don't like to get dirty, and even though I dress like a truck stop lesbian*, I myself love makeup. So when I heard that they were opening up a Sephora. She takes the makeup tester and puts it directly on her eye. I'm sure the few guys who read this are wondering "What's the big deal? Obviously I am joking, I dont even own flannel. Friday, February 22, 2008. Please live...

The Chapstick Blog: March 2009
http://thechapstickblog.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 26, 2009. This is the biggest picture I have ever seen, at least 5x5 (inches not feet) also (that's what she said). I was shocked, he's a beloved children s book author and illustrator, as soon as I saw that all I could imagine was Shel Silverstein asking someone if they'd like to party in his van down by the river. My best friend tried to give me an explanation for this "It was the 80s, you have to ugly that shit up, the uglier the better.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
