A look at the work of John Vergara, a talented luthier whose workshop is tucked away just off Main Street in Beacon, NY. John makes and repairs various kinds of stringed instruments including guitars and violins, and less familiar middle eastern instruments such as the oud and kanun. John is one of very few luthiers in the US that make and play the Oud.
