One particular piece of writing that affected me strongly as a book written by Maya Angelou called Would’nt Take Nothing On My Journey Now. In this book she goes about telling her life story, the intimate lessons she learned coming up in her era, and the advice she gives her readers coming up in a time outside of her own.
