A day in my life...: And his name will be...
http://annabryant.blogspot.com/2009/03/and-his-name-will-be.html
A day in my life. Monday, March 16, 2009. And his name will be. This weekend, Paul and I finally decided on a name for our baby boy! His name will be. Means "Beloved One" or "Favored" in Hebrew and Sawyer. Means "One who saws timbers". So I guess that means that we are going to have a snorer that we love a whole lot! Or that he's going to be a super-strong lumberjack who everyone loves! May 29, 2009 at 12:18 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. And his name will be.

A day in my life...: Mustang 5K Run
http://annabryant.blogspot.com/2008/10/mustang-5k-run.html
A day in my life. Friday, October 31, 2008. This was only the 2nd 5K that I have participated in, so I was really excited. I had 2 goals:. Run the entire 3.1 miles. 2) Finish better than my first 5K [32:53]. I am happy to say that I met both goals! This was the first run that NACC had ever hosted and the turn out was surprisingly good. There were over 75 participates in all! So beautiful. It was a treat to take in the autumn scenery as we ran. The reflection off the lake made it doubly enjoyable! Just ki...

Observations of the Journey: August 2008
http://jeffsalyerjr.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Observations of the Journey. The journey of a thousand steps begins with one. Friday, August 29, 2008. Over the past several months I have been growing weary of the political process. The primaries didn't yield a candidate that I could really get behind and support 100%. I'm not going to get into specifics on the issues that I disagree with but it was enough to cause me some trepidation in one of our greatest responsibilities. And rights as Americans. Thursday, August 28, 2008. I am having a pretty disap...

Observations of the Journey: The Oscars
http://jeffsalyerjr.blogspot.com/2009/02/oscars.html
Observations of the Journey. The journey of a thousand steps begins with one. Monday, February 23, 2009. Unfortunately last night's Oscars were a little ho-hum for me. Of course I have only seen a few of the films nominated. I had heard Slumdog was a good film by some of my students and one worth to check out. I did see The Dark Knight, which thoroughly enjoyed (especially since I saw it in IMAX). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cleveland, TN, United States. View my complete profile.

Observations of the Journey: Classic Films
http://jeffsalyerjr.blogspot.com/2009/02/classic-films.html
Observations of the Journey. The journey of a thousand steps begins with one. Monday, February 16, 2009. One of my favorite aspects of film study is history, specifically the Golden years of Hollywood. This summer I am teaching a course in Early Film History from 1910-1950. It should be a great course. We are going to watch several old films and discuss them in terms of content and history. I am really looking forward to teaching it. It is open to any student at Lee U.
