Creative Works and Ideas. Greetings from the “Great White North,” or to be more accurate, Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada, one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It’s a little city, perhaps 30,000 people, next to the Shuswap Lake, in south-central British Columbia. This is an enormous lake with four long “arms” named Anstey Arm, Shuswap Arm, Seymour Arm and Salmon Arm. Winter usually arrives with Hallowe’en and the first big snows come in time for Christmas.
