There alotta creeps out there. I be seein' them. Sunday, 7 June 2009. A few things here and there for Vice Australia. These are my reviews. From the last two issues. A few of these did not make it into the Technology. Issue, but I have decided to include them anyway. Writing for Vice is an interesting experience. SQUIRRELS ARE SNEAKY: February 2008
http://squirrelsaresneaky.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 22, 2008. Providence is better than Flint and Detroit! I SHOULD be celebrating that right? Ummno According to Forbes, my hometown is rated #10 on the 10 most miserable cities in the United States. The fact that we rate better than Flint, MI and Detroit, MI doesn't surprise me as we haven't had a major auto company abandon our city leaving thousands jobless, and well, Detroit is just commonly known to be dangerous, right? Boston, how I love thee. Someday I hope to return. The restaurant w...

Some memories of reading and such inspired by a similar discourse by Nick Hornby via Francis Spufford (Issue 51, page 20). Posted by Seedy B at 2:51 PM. I cannot with any clarity identify the moment when I first became a reader. Becoming an active reader later in high school was an altogether more memorable and personally enlightening moment, but this intellectual and social genesis escapes me. He illustrated to me by taking from the cupboard a glass jar of popping corn what the word that I was spelling ...

Mondo Barbara: November 2008
http://mondobarbara.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
There alotta creeps out there. I be seein' them. Monday, 10 November 2008. MIKE WILLIAMS INTERVIEW IX. I interviewed Mike Williams IX via-email for UNBELIEVABLY BAD. Magazine. I like this exchange. Mike has a very captivating writing style-short sentences, effective descriptions and that distinct southern drawl. This is an example of an email interview that actually works. Where to begin with a band like Eyehategod? Fights, substance abuse, misanthropy. You finally got those rotten teeth fixed, huh?

There alotta creeps out there. I be seein' them. Wednesday, 7 February 2007. Lebenden Toten - State Laughter (Feral Ward). It is sux when you spill half of your cider. All over your 4-track. It's bad enough when your mate Tix falls asleep with a smoke in his fingers and almost burns down your goddamn brown sofa. Your copy of Swankys-control and them Nuclear Addicts. Back patches what vez done; but lubricating your 4-track, shit, how are you going to record your piss-raw, sub-demo quality records? Swift-o...

Don Hertzfeldt's mind as the omnipotent and disembodied god of the reality-based pseudo world that his characters inhabit (Issue 51, page 57). Posted by Seedy B at 9:04 PM. Animation couldn't be more appropriately named in Don Hertzfeldt. Whatever the case, Don Hertzfeldt and his suffering creations rule. A thought or two on Michael Almereyda's study of Vladimir Mayakovsky (Issue 51, page 29). Posted by Seedy B at 1:18 PM. Recalling Malcolm McDowell as Alex DeLarge. It's hard to believe then, looking bac...
