NVWN Critique Groups: The Joys of Freelancing
http://nvwncritgroups.blogspot.com/2008/01/joys-of-freelancing.html
Wednesday, January 16, 2008. The Joys of Freelancing. When I moved to freelance full time two years ago, my friends thought I'd have a schedule where I could drop everything at the drop of a hat and my family thought that because I didn't have a "real job," I was available to chat on the phone whenever they pleased. But freelancing is my dream job, and these are the reasons I like it so much. I can set my own hours. I can come to work in my jammies if I want. No boss staring over my shoulder.

NVWN Critique Groups: February 2008
http://nvwncritgroups.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 2, 2008. Many many moons ago, I wrote a quick article for Writing for Dollars. Called The Rule of 13. I'd heard that having 13 queries or submissions out at a time is a sure way to get an acceptance. Anyway, I found out this week that our articles archived on WFD will now be drawing income depending on the readership. I was already paid when I printed the piece, so this is a nice little bonus. Thoughts from The Aloha Prints of Puget Sound. Tuesday, October 31, 2006. A parakeet goes to Vegas Baby! The mother ship is calling. Now Jimmy Buffett concerts are normally pretty wild, but when you have one in Vegas Baby! It's over the top. The streets were filled with aloha shirt wearing revilers who had flown in from the four corners of the globe for this party. Sweety Pie, Ross, Rachel, and I went to Margaritaville for a late lunch. The happy foursome at Margaritaville. Thought for the day -. We star...

Thoughts from The Aloha Prints of Puget Sound. Thursday, June 29, 2006. Nine months later and I'm done! First draft of my manuscript is in the can. Cool. I saw "Walk the line" last night and it was awesome. I thought I was listening to my old Johnny Cash albums. It was a triumph of the human spirit. I also read the book "Star Girl" by Jerry Spinelli. Everyone must read this. Everyone! Thought for the day-. Fight conformity. Walk softly and wear a loud shirt. Posted by Drewpy Drew at 6:12 PM. Posted by Dr...

Thoughts from The Aloha Prints of Puget Sound. Friday, April 27, 2007. Last night, I was driving around and saw a city bus. The destination sign said "Out of service.". Did they run out? I'm sorry. We had service earlier today, but we gave it all away. We're expecting a shipment in the morning, so we should have some service by tomorrow afternoon.". Have a great weekend. Thought for the day -. It's amazing how often life imitates Seinfeld. Posted by Drewpy Drew at 12:24 PM. 2 What's up with that? Hint #5...
