Save Naoxao Village
Luang Prabang Province, Laos. Thursday, May 31, 2012. A huge thank you to ALL involved in the SAVE NAOXAO VILLAGE. We purchased nearly 600 kilos of rice, blankets, water buckets/and scoops, bowls, cups, spoons, pots, water pitchers. We purchased metal sheeting for the new huts (no more grass as it catches fire too easily) and nails. The bamboo will come from the jungle and will take weeks of building. With new huts they won't have to make the daily commute to and from working. Posted by Monica Jean.

Members from the Sierra Club, Surfrider, Citizens Planning Association, Audubon Society, League of Woman Voters, and the Gaviota Coast Conservancy as well as unaffiliated individuals have formed the Naples Coalition. Our goals are to preserve the viewsheds, restore the biodiverse habitat, maintain wildlife corridors, protect the sensitive coastal bluff, and provide appropriate public access.
