Con l’arrivo del Natale ecco che a Maastricht sorge, nella piazza della cattedrale di Vrijthof, un fantastico mercatino-villaggio di Natale, con pista di pattinaggio sul ghiaccio, chioschi di ogni tipo, bar e pub, giostre e bancarelle. Ma soprattutto… la ruota panoramica! Dalla quale si godeva una vista davvero unica di Maastricht, il fiume e le stradine illuminate, i tetti e le finestrelle delle case del centro.
