NT2 of Nederlands voor Anderstaligen heeft 2 niveaus. Heeft het laagste niveau en kan gezien worden als de laagste inburgeringseis voor immigranten. Men kan daarna een staatsexamen NT2 programma 1 doen. Heeft het hoogste niveau en wordt door vele organisaties gevraagd, b.v. om aan een Nederlandse Universiteit of Hogeschool te gaan studeren. Hiervoor kunnen ook aanvullende eisen gesteld worden, b.v. aantoonbare kennis van Engels (veelal binnen een TOEFL. Die in het land van herkomst moet worden afgenomen.
