Rod Blakney Photography: December Update
http://acolophotographerslife.blogspot.com/2010/12/december-update.html
Tuesday, December 7, 2010. The holidays are here and it has been some time since I have posted an update. My schedule has been fairly hectic and I am now finally able to have some time to be able to catch up. After a nice 4 day weekend in the mountains over Thanksgiving and being able to take a little time to go and do some shooting, I managed to come back with a few nice photos. I have posted a few of those shots on my web site ( www.rodblakneyphotography.com. Thanks for stopping by!

Rod Blakney Photography: June 2009
http://acolophotographerslife.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 21, 2009. It was Friday night and I knew the weather was going to be a challenge Saturday. As my alarm sounded Saturday morning, I slowly arose and went to a window to find that my concerns were coming true. The skies were gray and overcast, and rain was threatening. The day begins. Even though I had attended the Mile High Hook and Ladder event in Littleton. Before, finding a large number of Fire Departments in attendance to contribute to the parade down Littleton. As Rick's primary photogra...

Rod Blakney Photography: Marathon Southwest Colorado Trip - Part 1
http://acolophotographerslife.blogspot.com/2009/08/marathon-southwest-colorado-trip-part-1.html
Sunday, August 16, 2009. Marathon Southwest Colorado Trip - Part 1. I am still trying to recuperate from a two day trip that was jam packed. But anyone who knows me, expects that I will get as much stuff in as I can with the time allotted, and more times than not I overrun the time that I have. I hope that you enjoy reading about and seeing photos from my two day marathon tour of Southwestern Colorado. I have always liked trains, but over the last year or so, I have been becoming more and more a rail fan...

Rod Blakney Photography: Cub Lake Re-Visited
http://acolophotographerslife.blogspot.com/2010/05/cub-lake-re-visited.html
Thursday, May 27, 2010. Once again I loaded up my truck with all of my necessary gear which of course included my camera, hiking boots, backpack and other items that I would need for my trip. I called Vicki to see if she wanted to go along for the ride and the upcoming adventure, and she quickly told me that she was ready to go along. The view of Estes was beautiful as we made the descent into town around noon, and the town was bustling with people and activity. After a brief stop for lunch we headed...

Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Marathon Southwest Colorado Trip - Part 3. My truck was already packed up, so I loaded up my camera and gear, and got on the road. I knew that time was going to be the issue for what I wanted to do to finish out my day and my marathon 2 day trip, but I forged on. Are you in that big of a hurry that you cannot even take a few minutes to admire the beauty of Mother Nature? The water cascaded down the multi layered rock into an entirely different eco system below with the sheer...

Sunday, August 23, 2009. Marathon Southwest Colorado Trip - Part 2. Ring, ring, ring…. Not sure what it was at first, I slowly began to recognize the distinct sound, and still in a half conscious state, I woke up to answer the telephone on the nightstand. It was the front desk with my requested wake-up call. It was 6:00AM…. There was still no sign of the train that I and a few others were waiting for. The families also there waiting for the train were taking shelter under the eaves of the original tr...
